Origin Orthodontics is an established provider of Invisalign. Our team has considerable experience with this type of treatment.

Invisalign is a novel method of straightening teeth using virtually invisible, removable aligners. These aligners are comfortable and convenient to wear and make Invisalign an incredibly popular treatment option among our teens and adult patients.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign™ consists of a series of custom-made aligners. These are made from clear, plastic material and sit over your teeth, much like a thin sports mouthguard. They’re virtually invisible, so most people won’t even know you’re wearing them. For the best results, all you need to do is wear them for 22 hours a day and change your set of aligners approximately every two weeks.

Sally

Sally was concerned about the gaps between her upper and lower incisors. For years she had endured large veneers on her upper front teeth to hide the gap, leaving her with unsightly proportioned front incisors. She was an ideal case for Invisalign treatment. Following 12 months of treatment with Invisalign we were able to correct all the anterior spacing, allowing for more proportioned veneers at the end of treatment, and a truly beautiful smile.

If you look carefully on the pre-treatment photos you may be able to note tooth coloured “white” attachments bonded to the teeth. These temporary attachments help the Invisalign aligners to achieve better results and are removed at the end of treatment.

Henry

Henry was keen to improve his smile and bite with a hidden brace. His example showcases what can be achieved with Invisalign with patience and perseverance.

Following his Invisalign treatment, Henry had his teeth whitened and the chips repaired by leading cosmetic dentist Mr Tariq Idrees of Carisbrook Dental.

How does Invisalign work?

Each Invisalign aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. Each set is designed to move your teeth closer towards their desired position. At the end of your treatment, your teeth will sit in the final position as prescribed by your specialist orthodontist.

At Origin Orthodontics, we use ClinCheck computer software, which has been designed specifically for Invisalign patients. This software programme enables us to predict the movement of your teeth, so we can create a more precise treatment plan. Furthermore, we can show you what your teeth will look like after wearing Invisalign, even before your treatment has started!

Invisalign for all

One of the greatest benefits of Invisalign – aside from it being a virtually invisible treatment – is that it is suitable for most patients. At Origin Orthodontics, we offer the following types of Invisalign:

  • Invisalign comprehensive: This is the complete Invisalign treatment for major orthodontic cases. Treatment time takes between 12 and 18 months.
  • Invisalign Express: This is Invisalign’s version for patients who only need minor adjustment or realignment of their teeth. Treating the front six teeth, Invisalign Express aligners can achieve results in as little as three to six months.
  • Invisalign is also suitable for teenage patients. And to help teens track their progress, we can apply wear indicators to their aligners which fade with time as they're worn. This helps our younger patients to wear them for the recommended 22 hours per day.

Invisalign and dental monitoring

The benefits of Invisalign just keep coming, particularly as we can now provide Invisalign treatment with dental monitoring. This treatment software connects with the dental monitoring app on your smartphone and enables us to track your treatment progress from selfies you take and upload to the app. It has transformed the way we communicate with our Invisalign patients and also gives them great freedom to have orthodontic treatment. Find out more about it on our dental monitoring page.
