We hope that you are all keeping well, safe and segregated in this difficult time.
As we are sure you will appreciate, guidance in relation to dentistry is changing on a daily basis in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Just this morning the British Orthodontic Society has suggested that routine orthodontic appointments (including new patient visits, placement, adjustments and removal of braces) should not be undertaken. https://www.bos.org.uk/News-and-Events/COVID19-BOS-Advice.
We are bound by this guidance and will, of course, ensure that the safety and well-being of our patients and staff is paramount at this time.
As such, we will be unable to offer routine care but will continue to provide advice and management in relation to orthodontic emergencies. Please note that there are significant constraints in terms of the types of procedures that we can perform, even in relation to emergencies.
Please simply phone your local practice and we will endeavour to schedule an appointment to address that emergency situation, if necessary. Alternatively, please use the facility on our website https://www.origin-orthodontics.co.uk/free-smile-analysis/ to upload photographs of your teeth if you have an issue and we will advise you remotely.
In terms of continuing your treatment, we will be in touch with you once the situation has resolved and we are in a position to return to normal working arrangements. As such, we would be grateful if you could avoid contacting the practice for now, unless you require advice and/or management concerning an orthodontic emergency.
We would like to extend our, thoughts, support and commitment to all of you.
We look forward to seeing you again in more positive times.
